Human Trafficking in Bangladesh: Situation and Solution

Though we are planning to celebrate the golden jubilee of our independence, our problems are not decreasing, rather they are increasing day by day in course of time. Thousands of problems are available in Bangladesh. Human trafficking is one of them. Ironically, Bangladesh is one of the most productive source and transit of men, women and child who are trafficked for sexual exploitation and 21st century slavery. The human rights are violated by this human trafficking. There are a lot of socioeconomic factors are related with this phenomenon. For that reason, the innocent people of our country become the victim of international crime of human trafficking. Human trafficking refers to the transportation of human being illegally from one place, area or location to another. Human trafficking is such a crime which breeds to other crimes also. Sobur Ali, a 22 years guy, lives in Comilla. He has a big family of eight members, his parents, three younger sisters and two younger brothers. His father is the only earning member of the family. As an elder son he also contributes his family by manual labor. But he could not manage any permanent job. Everyday poverty grasps their life slowly, as stuck by the essential’s price hike. Once Sabur Mia decided to do better something to support his family, but what else can be done. One day, he met one of his neighbors who worked in Malaysia. He suggested him to go Malaysia as there is good job opportunity for Bangladeshi employers. He ensured Sobur that he can earn much and so that his family can live well. Human trafficking is the most talked crisis now a day, especially after the incident when the mass grave of 30 people in the Thai jungle revealed. After that event the international media became active on finding out the clue behind this inhumanly crime of human trafficking.  No matter how much I write I cannot portrait the picture of their sufferings of starving, beating or being killed in the sea what they have to gone through since the moment they anchor to the ship.  None human being can do this kind of brutal act to human being, only animal can.  I am a little being confused if it talked about animal because the animal doesn’t harm their own clan.  Here, I am trying to giving you a sample picture what lead them to being victim of human trafficking.
